Family Activities at the McCord Museum

History puts on its Sunday best and invites families to a hands-on workshop highlighting a theme related to our exhibitions and collections.

      October & November Theme

The history of Montreal will take centre stage while children discover objects that were considered modern in the 19th century. The children will probably be amazed by some of them. Certainly, electricity did not yet exist and people had to find ways to provide light both indoors and outdoors. The children will be invited to create a lantern to chase away the darkness that comes with the arrival of autumn.

Story Hour (11 a.m. in French and 2 p.m. in English)

In conjunction with the exhibition Wearing our Identity - The First Peoples Collection, Inuit legends reveal the secrets of the great Canadian north.

Cost: Adults $15, children 12 & under FREE
